Coded cylinders are keyed alike so that one key works all locks
Note: In 55-57 two different pawls were used according to body style
Higher placed body molding on some 56 models required GM to move cylinder up on the door; Many 56 models used a flat pawl with a different door latch assembly; Some used a U shaped pawl which should be used by 55 & 57 cars
